Mikhail Barabanov. Graduated from the Moscow National University of Culture, then worked for the Moscow City Government. Editor-in-chief of MDB since 2008. An expert on naval history and armaments.

Dmitry Boltenkov a graduate of the Rostov State University, is a naval historian and independent navy analyst. He is also the author of an upcoming treatise on the history of the Soviet and Russian naval aviation.

Sergey Denisentsev. Graduated from the Masters program in Geography at Moscow National Univeristy. Currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences.A Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST) researcher since January 2007.

Fyodor Lukyanov is editor-in-chief of the Russia in Global Affairs journal, published in Russian and English with participation of Foreign Affairs, and an international columnist with the Kommersant, Vedomosti, The Moscow Times and Gazeta.ru online source; leading national radio stations and TV channels. Fyodor Lykyanov graduated from Moscow State University 1991 as a Germanist. He worked as a correspondent, commentator and editor for many Russia media. Chairman of the Presidium of the Russian Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, an influential independent organization providing foreign policy expertise.

Aleksey Nikolsky. Graduated from the Moscow National University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics in 1995. Worked as a correspondent for several newspapers and for Vedomosti since 2001.

Natalya Pechorina is an observer working for Ukrinform, a Ukrainian news agency which she joined in 2002. She is also the editor of the news bulletin “Ukrinform: Defense Industry and Aerospace News”. In 2000–2002 she was a news reporter with UNIAN, another Ukrainian news agency.

Aleksandr Stukalin is a graduate of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Joined Kommersant, Russia’s leading broadsheet, in 1992 and became the newspaper’s editor-in-chief in 2004. Deputy editor-in-chief of the Russian Newsweek in 2005–2008. Deputy editor-in-chief of the Vedomosti newspaper in March-September 2008. Deputy editor-in-chief of Kommersant from October 2008 to date.
